A Journey Shared
This project began with curiosity. My daughter and I went into the woods together to harvest the bamboo, then built the bench and stool side by side. Later, that same curiosity carried us to Japan.
The furniture remains, but what I value most is the journey we shared—the learning, the time together and the memories built along the way.
A Little Direction
The kayak shed keeps everything close and ready for family and friends to step into a weekend outdoors. Beside it, a handmade signpost points toward favorite destinations and simple pleasures—from the kayaks just twenty feet away to the hot tub, Blue Ridge Lake and places much farther from home.
The sign is intentionally a little whimsical. It often earns a smile or laugh when someone first arrives, which is exactly the point. Discovery does not always begin with a grand journey. Sometimes it begins by choosing which direction to take.
